Hello!
It means something that you’re here.
Whether by search or by Spirit, I’m grateful you’ve found this space. May it offer rest, reflection, and a reminder that you’re not alone.
The journey of this earth-life and faith isn’t linear. It’s full of twists and turns, still waters and dark valleys, moments of clarity and long stretches of uncertainty.
If you find yourself somewhere in the swirl—wondering why things aren’t easier, why the answers haven’t come yet, or whether your hope will hold—you are not alone.
Life is wild and difficult and beautiful. Through it all, Jesus doesn’t leave us. Even in the darkest times when it feels like He’s far away, He is still present. I’ll be honest: I don’t always like the way He shows up. But He does. And there is always hope ahead.
Often, we only hear the stories of resolution—of breakthrough, healing, or clarity. But what about the in-between? What about the quiet, aching middle?
Those are the stories that nourish me the most: the ones about surviving, breathing, contending, doubting, wrestling, and choosing not to give up. I believe with all my heart that these “half-finished” stories are like manna in the wilderness. They sustain us, even as we wait for the promises we’ve not yet seen.
That’s why I started Merciful Days. I wanted a place to share stories about the journey from within the journey.
This is a space for the weary-hearted, the question-askers, the ones still in process. It’s a space for reflection, rest, and remembering that God is at work even when we can’t see it.
Hi, I’m Justine—a writer, pastor, and fellow pilgrim. I write from my own lived faith, through seasons of joy and loss, clarity and fog. My hope is that the words you find here will help you keep breathing, keep hoping, and keep seeking God, even in the unknown.
Whether you’re grieving, healing, growing, or beginning again—welcome. 🌿
A little about me…
I love black coffee, sunrises, and soulful chats. I believe every person matters—and that we’re each alive in this era for a reason. I believe in the slow, sacred work of becoming, and I love helping others live courageously, creatively, and in step with the Spirit.
Born and raised in Australia, I moved to USA in my early twenties and served as an associate pastor in Seattle for over two decades. Along the way, I’ve had the joy of leading short-term aid work in Mexico, the U.S., Canada, Thailand, and South Africa. In 2020, we planted a digital church focused on helping Jesus-followers live on mission to love God and love our neighbours.
I now serve with Foursquare Missions International in the Pacific region, supporting the development of women leaders and church planters.
